HYDA Helmets
Led the digital launch of a category-defining surf safety product, driving social strategy, web architecture, and the production of the brand’s foundational content.
“Best helmets in the world right now.”

The HYDA photoshoot took place at the iconic Volcom House on Oahu’s North Shore, a legendary beachfront residence at Banzai Pipeline. It offers unmatched views of the world’s most famous waves and stands as a landmark in surf culture.
Behind the scenes

For this project, I joined a small but mighty start-up team as Head of Digital for HYDA Helmets. I partnered closely with UK branding agency Planning Unit in the months leading up to launch, helping shape the vision for all digital channels. This included a social media strategy, site architecture and wireframes, and initial web mocks. I also led creative direction for the brand’s photo and video shoot, developing the shot list and traveling to the North Shore of Hawaii to oversee production and collaborate with the pro athletes on site.
